How did you guys meet?

We worked together at a garden center. I ran the greenhouse and Tim worked in the garden supply department during the day and had an internship at night. Soon after we started dating Tim’s internship became a full time job and he left, but those days working together were some of the happiest of our lives.

What is your favorite way of spending time together?

Having a bite to eat at our local pub or spending the day with our dog, Danzig. We’re homebodies.

What was your first impression of each other?

Our Krst impressions of each other were exactly the same – they’re cute!

Tell us about a favorite memory that you shared together.

Tim and I were touring a historic mansion on our way out of town for the weekend. We saw a little sign for “Equestrian Center” and followed the path out of curiosity. We ended up Knding ourselves accidentally sneaking in the back entrance at the Middleburg Classic horse show – a fancy invitation only event. We have a few friends who are into horseback riding and they were beside themselves to hear where we were. We ate, drank, and pretended to be horse people the whole time. It was an adventure.

What do you like the most about each other?

Tim’s loyalty and devotion makes him the perfect partner. His ability to make everything fun is what makes him the perfect best friend. Tim says, “What I like most about Rachel boils down to how caring she is. About her family, friends, her work, dog, her plants, and me. She shows it brilliantly, without effort. She’s also smoking hot.”

If you could describe your relationship in 3 words, what would they be?

Lazy, Loving, Laughter

3 fun and random facts:

We’ve been vacationing in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia for years. We rent a cabin and get away with the dog, enjoying nature and solitude. Tim proposed there, last Thanksgiving. Tim and I have the exact same eyeglass prescription so we swap glasses and contacts a lot. This makes life very easy because we’re both basically blind. I joke that our children will have incredible hair and terrible eyesight. After Tim restores his new bass guitar he wants to build a hobbit hole home in our backyard.
