How did you guys meet?
We met at band camp in high school. Yeah, we know, we’re adorable.
What is your favorite way of spending time together?
We love cooking together, exploring the city and hanging out with our cat.
Do you remember your first date?
Gwen: I thought that Elby was shy, but super sweet and very well-liked by everyone who knew him.
Elby: I was terrified to talk to her, but she still laughed at my jokes anyway. I knew she was a keeper.
What do you like the most about each other?
Gwen: Elby is the most generous person I’ve ever met, and he’s so loyal to his friends and loved ones.
Elby: She’s my life partner. She’s always on my side. We can do anything together and she always makes it fun.
If you could describe your relationship in 3 words, what would they be?
Teammates for life.

Gwen: I’m training to be a yoga teacher, I enjoy painting, we live only a few blocks from the Obamas.
Elby: I’m Gwen’s chief yoga trainee, I enjoy nature photography, and I also love living in Kalorama.
